Reunion with a Dear Old Friend...

I am having holiday this week. Made a list from all things I wanted to do, but..as usual..not everything was done. I cleared out the garden on Monday afternoon, so Winter can arrive..and we had some friends over because Bram became 78 that day.. Tuesday was kind of an Off day.. On Wednesday I took the last things from the studio home... And I had an appointment with my psychotherapist and with her I shared some emotions. Perfect Grey Day

Today is Grey and this is not my favourite time of the year. This grey light outside (this is the view from the window in my rather messy workroom) makes everything sort of pale. So the perfect day to stay inside -well, not really: we just had a coffee in Almen which we usual do on Sundays- to write some mails and to write a post here.In a way it is the perfect day today. My colleagues from Glasgow and Puchov with a group of students will arrive on the 1th of February for a few project days in our school. We know each-other for so long already, that it feels like friends coming over and next to the work we always have a good time together. This week I will do the last thin...

Sometimes the world looks like a fairytale...

This morning I woke up much earlier than usually on Sunday.. 7.30 exactly..We had the plan to go to Groningen to visit our grandson.. but all night it had been snowing..and we decided not to go. It is freezing also so the roads can be difficult and we have a very small car. So hopefully next week. I had a quick look in our garden and..YES.. the world looked like a fairytale. I love snow because all shapes outside change. We had breakfast, I did some knitting and after that I made a long walk among the river Ijssel. I love that river deeply. 10 years ago when I had to stay home for 1 year because of a burn-out I walked everyday among the river. I watched birds and the change of seasons. It did calm me down and I have thrown a lot of sadness into that river. I like streaming water. It can take with it your sorrow and pain. It cleans the soul I always feel. For me this river is very special and will always be. We are very lucky to live a 2 minutes walk from the river. Bram and I used to ...
